Pallet Shuttle 1D System

The Pallet shuttle 1D system is a deep lane storage and retrieval system that consists of a racking structure and mobile shuttles. The shuttles are self-powered devices that run on rails in the racking storage lanes to load and unload pallets. FILO and LIFO formats are available as the shuttle can move beneath the pallets to reach the end of the storage lane for a FIFO system.
A forklift or reach truck is required to place the pallet shuttle in the lane where the action is. From the home position, the shuttle performs the loading and unloading tasks without any further human intervention. Tasks are communicated by the forklift driver using a remote control. Once the task is completed the shuttle returns to its home position and is then ready to be transported by a forklift truck to a new lane for a new task. Each shuttle unit runs on lithium batteries with up to 16 hours duration and a short charging time that is a maximum of 3 hours.
The low height of the first storage level and dense storage make the 1D shuttle solution ideal for slower moving product. Storage and retrieval picking accuracy, reduced damages and required travelling time are but a few of the advantages of this scalable solution.
